Shift to higher gears as quickly as possible.

Otherwise, the same things as an automatic trans.
    1. Reduce weight inside car.
    2. Change out the air filter.
    3. Make sure your tires are at full pressure.
    4. No jack rabbit starts.

accelerate slowly. drive in the highest gear possible at all times. Do not coast in neutral.

With a manual transmission, your best gas mileage is going to be on the highway at high gear, overdrive if you have one. Stop and go city driving will not allow you to save gas with a clutch.

No torque convertor on a manual transmission. Also power is needed to shift gears in the auto box. The control system is never as good at selecting the most economical gear as the human brain either (in theory)

ehh as far as i know its how yo drive if you shift right (around 2-3 grand) and dont keep it in a low gear it saves gas. this is because les gass is being dumped into the engine at lower rpm and with the manual you chosse your rpms better then with an automatic i could be wrong but this is what i know

Dont down shift. Not really great for the car, not really bad for it either. Instead of down shifting… pop it into neutrual and break.
