I keep seeing stuff about kits to convert your car to run on water but havent seen a company that will do the conversion for you like they do with LPG is it some kind of scam or can you really run your car on water?
yes, a man did invent a car that could run on water, the government paid him off so he couldnt mass produce this vehicle, which is taking part in killing the economy. There was also a guy that invented a carborator that could get 100 mpg but he also got paid off so he wouldnt mass produce it. our government is just too worried about making money and are making our lives miserable
Cars are run on combustion which requires a spark that sets off a small explosion in the cylinder. The spark plug or igniter on a diesel, causes the fuel that enters the combustion to ignite and the result is the explosion. This in turn makes the pistons move down turning the drive shaft which in turn moves the wheels. This is a simplified explanation of the combustion engine but the main thing to know is that without a combustible mixture nothing explodes and nothing moves. There is no science at this time that can cause water to explode or even to burn. The only engine that will run on water is a steam engine and Stanley steamers are obsolete. Steam locomotives also run on steam but then you would need a large supply of coal to heat up the water either way the answer is that no known science can make your car run on water alone, and not with the type of engine that is contained in your car.
There are new cars out that run on battery, a beautiful one can be found at.
From info given- probably scam. A couple ways to burn/run on water known- a steam engine is one. The production of flammable gas -hydrogen- from water by electrolysis is well known- but the equipment to do this in a individual car is going to be costly and large. The acetylene /carbide generators have been around for years- the gas generated can run a spark ignition engine, but again the necessary equipment is bulky and not the safest for a mobile operation, exploding carbide light incidents are known, one reason they are no longer used on trains, cars, and carriages. Water/methanol/ethanol vapor injector systems are well known for supercharged and high compression engines- these are a anti-detonation device allowing engine to run otherwise extreme conditions without breaking but the water is not main fuel source- is a flame front moderator as vapor. A water vapor system installed on newer car with knock sensor would allow full ignition advance to be used all time and get a BIT better mileage- about like using premium fuel. 6 stroke cycle direct water injection engines are interesting experimental stage- water is used as a internal cylinder coolant alternating with gasoline /spark cycle to convert otherwise wasted heat to steam and recovery energy for a partial power stroke- 5%+ increase in fuel efficiency if things are working right. .
The claim is largely a scam, although there is a tiny grain of truth to the claim, and that’s how it stays in the mainstream. What is usually claimed is:
The water, as fuel, is used as a source of hydrogen. The hydrogen is released from the water in an electric reaction as a “Brown’s Gas”, or HHO. The engine then burns the hydrogen, and you have just run your engine on water.
The little problem that nobody mentions is this:
The electric reaction that releases the hydrogen takes more energy in than the energy content of the hydrogen released thru burning it in your engine. Technically, you are:
1. using your engine to charge your battery,
2. using the battery to liberate hydrogen from the water,
3. using the released hydrogen to run your engine,
4. using your engine to charge your battery,
5. and so on.
You never get back as much energy as you put in, so this “water engine” will always need another type of fuel in order to run.
In the end it costs you money, and it only benefits the guy who sells the system.
NO. The water carb, the 100mpg carb, Stan Meyer, and all the rest are pure BullShit.
The sad part about being a true cynic is that you have to put just as much effort into picking apart the anti government BS, as you do the pro-government BS…
BTW, Craigory, you’re dead right, and nobody is gonna listen to it…I’ve been screaming at a friend of mine about exactly that for months, and he just sent off for plans from that “runyourcaronwater.com” scam site…
It’s sad just how stupid humans can be…
EDIT, Curmudgeon, premium fuel does NOT produce more energy. It actually produces very slightly LESS, but is more resistant to detonation, premature ignition caused by heat and compression. That resistance is what makes it produce slightly less power. But, because you can use more timing advance and compression, the motor can burn it more efficiently, liberating a higher percentage of the potential energy contained in it.
If you use premium in a motor designed for regular, you will lose a small, probably unnoticeable amount of power. If you run regular in a car meant for premium, it will either detonate and damage the engine, or the computer will yank timing and cut your power way back.
Either way, just follow the manufacturers recommendation.
in a simple term, this is using the hydrogen fuel technology which is used for the hyrid car at this moment.
For conventional car, to allow you to run your car on water (hydrogen), you will need to modify your car to allow it to split water molecules. This splitting process called electrolysis.
Sadly no. I spent hours on various sites and almost got sucked into actually experimenting with it. They key scientific principle that I was missing is that even in combustion, matter is not destroyed. Gasoline (and most fuels) are hydrocarbons which, when combined with oxygen, can be ignited to create energy. The exhaust (waste) is carbon dioxide, carbon monoxide, and water vapor.
A hydrogen & oxygen gas mixture (HHO, brown’s gas, or whatever you care to call it) that can be liberated from water IS a perfect fuel source in terms of efficiency and cleanliness… It is a perfectly balanced mixture of fuel (hydrogen) and the necessary oxidizer (oxygen) creating a very powerful explosive reaction with water being the only “waste” product (exhaust).
As others have already mentioned, the problem comes in that it is scientifically IMPOSSIBLE to get more energy out of something than is required to create it. Even mathematically it takes more energy to split water molecules than can be released by the hydrogen and oxygen. Combine that with the fact that internal combustion engines are a very inefficient and there is no way possible that you could run anything on water alone.
I have read claims that a special spark plug can electrolytically create and detonate small quantities of HHO gas inside your piston. Again, it does not matter the means which you use; It is scientifically IMPOSSIBLE to create a fuel from a waste product (water) using less energy than that fuel will yield.
In my opinion, the only plausible way to use water as a fuel-source is to combine it with something else chemically. However in so doing, the “fuel” is actually being derived from the added substance.
OK,
that all makes a lot of sense, but i have a question.
The splitting of the water into HHO is done by electricity coming from the alternator, via that battery.
The alternator is already pumping out just under 14 volts, isn’t it possible to use this energy to split the water?
Now I could be wrong, but I have never noticed my gas mileage to be effected by how many electrical devices i have running. Isn’t it possible that this set up would increase gas mileage?
Now what it may do to the lifespan of your battery/alternator is a different question.
Some of the responses were from people who clearly know more about the workings of car motors then I do, so I am hoping that they can answer my question.
NO. Water is the worst thing for your car. Cars that can run on LPG are diesel. A gas engine would be destroyed if you put water in it.
Yeah its called a boat. No but really yes. People have developed this and they are paid to keep quiet so the big buisnesses dont go out of buisness.

A total scam, don’t go near it.
It violates the law of conservation of energy and is a perpetual motion machine.
Or, you don’t get something from nothing.
Another way to look at it, if this actually worked, the Auto companies would have it in every car.
